Wedgewood Blue Slurry Coat

Due to the fact that the tile roof has not been sealed since it's installation, the elements were allowed to break down the Wedgewood Blue slurry coat, resulting in damage to the color and the surface of the slurry coat as evidenced in the above photographs.

Faded Paint on Fleet Landing Tile Roof.

These pictures show plainly what happens to paint when applied to tile roofs. In this case, it turned white.

Roofing Contractors and Tile Roof Maintenance

From all indications, many Florida contractors were acutely affected by the housing market’s collapse and the resulting  recession.
But the contractors we know who survived are now ready to take advantage of whatever the improving economy may bring.
How have contractors dealt with the downswing?  The methods are fairly common.
The construction industry has been mostly down through the recession of the last few years. There was not  any real growth in construction in 2010…and new construction is still largely depressed. As a company we have found that owners of existing tile roofs are still afraid – after three plus years of economic uncertainty – to invest in a new tile roof.  We have found that many people keep cleaning and repairing what they have.  And tile repairs translates to roof maintenance, which can still be lucrative. During this time of economic uncertainty, we have found that many people have decided to maintain their tile roofs until it is absolutely necessary to replace them.
Prior to the last 5 years, times were great, and for some roofing companies we work with,  maintenance was not necessarily as profitable as a new install. Times have changed. Several of our roofing partners are reviewing their previous customer lists, with an  eye towards providing roof maintenance. Alberson’s Tile Roof Glaze, Inc. can provide you with the products and know how to enter this potentially profitable market. So despite new construction slumping in every area –commercial as well as residential  – work is still out there for the  companies  that possess the skills, the reputation, and for those up to date with the latest technologies.  Roofing companies we partner with who have implemented a maintenance department within their companies are seeing growth and profits. From pressure cleaning tile roofs with RTC 5000 Roof  Tile Cleaner, to Clear sealing with Hydro-Sheen Tile Roof Glaze, to color change and/or restoration of older tile roofs.
Alberson's Tile Roof Glaze, Inc. stands ready to assist  roofing contractors in all aspects of  tile roof  cleaning, clear sealing, and color maintenance.
