RTC 5000 Roof Tile Cleaner
Cleaning Agent:
Choosing the cleaning agent is very important. Harsh chemicals can cause damage to the roof tile as well as the landscaping. RTC 5000 Roof Tile Cleaner will not cause damage to the roof tiles, lawns or landscaping. Most importantly, it is safe for you.
To get started:
Mix the RTC 5000 Roof Tile Cleaner in accordance with directions.
Apply RTC 5000 to the roof tiles starting at the ridge allowing the solution to run down the roof tiles.
Make certain that all areas are completely wet.
NOTE: DO NOT WALK IN WET SOLUTION AS IT MAKES THE TILE VERY SLIPPERY.
Starting the cleaning procedure:
Adjust your pressure to 1200 psi. Too much pressure can damage the roof tile.
Hold your gun 8 to 12 inches from the surface.
Beginning at the first row of tile, at the fascia, wash up and across the tile roof system always walking in the area that has been cleaned.
The first row of tile edges and rake tiles can be cleaned utilizing the gun.
The majority of the field tile can be cleaned utilizing the Whisper Washer.
Completely rinse roof tiles removing any loose debris, rinse fascia, walls, walks, driveway pool decks.
Post Cleaning:
In an effort to assist in preventing the growth of algae, it is recommended that an application ofHydro-Sheen Tile Roof Glaze
be applied to the roof tiles. This application will also protect the color, slow the weathering process and extend the time frames for further cleanings.
